Conservative party’s chairman Jānis Bordāns: «The most important Saeima elections since the restoration of independence are coming up. Now is the time for every one of us to decide not only on the political agenda for the next four years, but also the country’s development in the next decade or more. We have a 10×10 plan that provides for Latvia entering the Top 10 most developed European countries in the next ten years.
Forces hostile to Latvia use all the ways available to them to force their will onto us while also mobilizing their agents to increase influence. Conservative forces, which oppose forces hostile to our country, have become a more experienced political force and their ranks continue increasing. I believe we will be able to restore Latvian residents’ trust in fair policy.»
«The most important task now is transforming Latvia from an appendage of Russia’s energy system into an independent country with a diverse range of energy sources. We will change and take responsibility for the Ministry of Economics and Ministry of Finance. The political management of these two ministries is what has slowed efforts to enhance energy security in our country all this time,» stressed Bordāns.
