The Competition Council (KP) has imposed a fine of more than 1.8 million euros on one of Latvia’s largest food retail companies for engaging in unfair trading practices, the KP announced.
The sanction was applied for violations of the Unfair Trading Practices Prohibition Law.
More detailed information on the identified infringement will be provided during a press conference on Thursday, the 6th of November.
The press conference will take place at the Ministry of Economics, Brīvības Street 55, Riga, on Thursday, the 6th of November at 10:00. It will also be livestreamed on the KP’s Facebook page.
Participants will include KP Chairwoman Ieva Šmite and Head of the KP Market Surveillance and Research Department Sanita Uljane.
