One of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov’s closest allies has publicly criticized the owner of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, calling him a blogger who constantly yells, writes Reuters.
The criticism has provoked a sharp backlash from a high-level fighter of Wagner’s group.
Adam Delimkanov, a close ally of Kadyrov, addressed Prigozhin using the diminutive Zhenya and using the familiar Russian form of you: “You have become a blogger who screams and shouts off to the whole world about all the problems.
Stop shouting, yelling and screaming.”
Delimkanov invited Prigozhin to meet him to explain the incomprehensible things to him.
The announcement quickly caught the attention of Dmitry Utkin, an experienced Wagnerian. Utkin is a former special operations unit officer and served in the Russian intelligence service. In the message that Prigozhin repposted on the Telegram, Utkin asked where such familiarity comes from and threatened: “Certain citizens should be put against a wall for the SHAME that we have.” Utkin added that Wagnerians are always ready to talk face to face.
Prigozhin, who turned from a catering service tycoon into the head of a mercenary group, announced on Wednesday, the 31st of May, that he had asked the prosecutor’s office to examine whether the highest Russian military officials had committed criminal acts in Ukraine before or during the war.
