On Monday, 17 October, Latvian Central Election Commission (CVK) officially approved the 14th Saeima election results.
New Unity showed the best results – the party received 26 seats. The Union of Greens and Farmers is next wit 16 seats, Combined List received 15, National Alliance – 13, For Stability! political party – 11, Progressive Party – 10 and Latvia in First Place received nine seats in the 14th Saeima.
New Unity’s representatives that were elected to the 14th Saeima include Krišjānis Kariņš, Edgars Rinkēvičs, Andrejs Judins, Inese Lībiņa-Egnere, Hosams Abu Meri, Arvils Ašeradens, Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica, Anda Čakša, Ainars Latkovskis, Rihards Kozlovskis, Inga Bērziņa, Andrejs Ceļapīters, Raimonds Čudars, Mārtiņš Daģis, Dāvis Mārtiņš Daugavietis, Mārtiņš Felss, Inese Kalniņa, Irma Kalniņa, Jānis Patmalnieks, Uģis Rotbergs, Evika Siliņa, Agnese Krasta, Anna Rancāne, Jānis Skrastiņš, Zane Skujiņa and Agita Zariņa-Stūre.
Representatives of the Union of Greens and Farmers include Armands Krauze, Augusts Brigmanis, Viktors Valainis, Uldis Augulis, Andris Bērziņš, Anita Brakovska, Gundars Daudze, Juris Jakovins, Līga Kļaviņa, Līga Kozlovska, Gunārs Kūtris, Daiga Mieriņa, Harijs Rokpelnis, Andrejs Vilks, Kaspars Melnis and Jānis Vucāns.
Combined List’s representatives include Edvards Smiltēns, Raimonds Bergmanis, Māris Kučinskis, Edgars Tavars, Ingmārs Līdaka, Česlavs Batņa, Atis Deksnis, Andris Kulbergs, Lauris Lizbovskis, Didzis Šmits, Juris Viļums, Linda Matisone, Igors Rajevs, Māris Sprindžuks and Aiva Vīksna.
National Alliance’s representatives to the new parliament include Raivis Dzintars, Ināra Mūrniece, Ilze Indriksone, Nauris Puntulis, Artūrs Butāns, Jānis Dombrava, Jānis Grasbergs, Aleksandrs Kiršteins, Rihards Kols, Uģis Mitrevics, Edvīns Šnore, Edmunds Teirumnieks un Jānis Vitenbergs.
Deputies elected from For Stability! political party include Aleksejs Rosļikovs, Svetlana Čulkova, Glorija Grevcova, Iļja Ivanovs, Igors Judins, Jefimijs Klementjevs, Dmitrijs Kovaļenko, Nataļja Marčenko-Jodko, Viktorija Pleškāne, Viktors Pučka and Nadežda Tretjakova.
Progressive Party’s delegates include Kaspars Briškens, Skaidrīte Ābrama, Edmunds Cepurītis, Antoņina Ņenaševa, Leila Rasima, Jana Simanovska, Andris Sprūds, Andris Šuvajevs, Atis Švinka and Edgars Zelderis.
Latvia in First Place will delegate Ainārs Šlesers, Oļegs Burovs, Mārcis Jencītis, Kristaps Krištopans, Vilis Krištopans, Linda Liepiņa, Ramona Petraviča, Ričards Šlesers and Edmunds Zivtiņš to work in the Saeima.
Results of the recent parliamentary election turned out less than desirable for Attīstībai/Par and Conservative party, as well as Harmony.
These political parties failed to overcome the 5% election barrier and were left out.
CVK rejected complaints over election results submitted thus far. This includes four from Harmony and People’s Power candidates.
The Supreme Court commenced a case following a request from Harmony in regards to the decision by CVK to reject the party’s request to recount ballots.
