Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s last will has been revealed, and the late tycoon’s wealth and businesses have been distributed to his family, writes Politico.
According to information published by the Italian news agency ANSA, Berlusconi’s eldest children, Marina and Pier Silvio, have acquired an equal stake in the family holding company Fininvest, which together constitute the majority of the shares. Both have been holding leading positions in family businesses since the 1990s.
Berlusconi also left 30 million euros to his former political advisor Marcello Dell’Utri.
In 2014, the Italian Supreme Court sentenced Delutri to seven years in prison for tax evasion and involvement in the Sicilian mafia, and he fled Italy. Soon after, he was caught in a hotel in Beirut.
The children from the second marriage – Barbara, Eleonora, and Luigi – were left with a smaller share of the inheritance than the eldest children from the politician’s first marriage. Berlusconi’s girlfriend Marta Fascina was given 100 million euros, and the politician’s brother Paolo will receive the same amount.
Berlusconi, who passed away in June, also added a handwritten letter to his children in his will, in which it is said that he loves his children.
