Baltic daily virus cases show decrease in all three countries

In 24 hours to Thursday, February 24, Latvia registered 11,088 new coronavirus infections, while Estonia registered 4,401 and Lithuania confirmed 7,273, which showed a decrease in all three Baltic states compared to the data of February 23.
A total of 11,088 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours to Tuesday morning. 14 people have died in the Baltic country, nine of them were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and five were vaccinated.
In Estonia, the latest public data showed that 4,401 new cases were found over the last 24 hours. 637 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Estonian hospitals. 2,195 people have died from the virus in Estonia thus far.

The latest data from Lithuania added 7,273 new cases of coronavirus infection. 1,808 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Lithuanian hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the health complications of the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8,336 people.
Returning to Latvia, 24,236 Covid-19 tests were performed in the country in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Latvian Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests was 45,8%. A total of 5,159 Covid-19 patients have died in Latvia, while 471,752 people have recovered from the disease.
