Baltic Covid cases on rise again in all three countries

In 24 hours to Wednesday, March 2, Latvia registered 10,574 new coronavirus infections, while Estonia registered 5,069 and Lithuania confirmed 6,993.
A total of 9,524 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours to Wednesday morning. 28 people have died in the Baltic country, 16 of them were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination, while 12 were vaccinated.
In Estonia, the latest public data showed that 5,069 new cases were found over the last 24 hours. 644 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Estonian hospitals. 2,245 people have died from the disease in Estonia thus far.

The latest data from Lithuania added 6,993 new cases of coronavirus infection. 1,612 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Lithuanian hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the health complications of the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8,418 people.
Returning to Latvia, 22,016 Covid-19 tests were performed in the country in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Latvian Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests was 48%. A total of 5,269 Covid-19 patients have died in Latvia, while 528,830 people have recovered from the disease.
