On Wednesday, skies will be variable with occasional rain, and heavy showers with possible thunderstorms expected in western Vidzeme, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
A light to moderate west-northwest wind will blow, with coastal gusts reaching 15–17 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +1…+6°C with ground frost down to -2°C in some areas, while the coast will remain warmer at +7…+12°C. Daytime highs will stay between +9…+14°C.
Thursday will be partly cloudy. Some rain is expected overnight, but the day will remain mostly dry. Widespread fog will form at night, reducing visibility.
Temperatures will fall to +1…+5°C, with frost in some areas,
while daytime highs will reach +12…+15°C.
Towards the weekend, an anticyclone will bring drier and sunnier weather. Overnight lows will drop to +2…+7°C with localized frost, while the coast stays milder. Daytime highs will remain below +18°C, and similar conditions are expected at the start of next week, with no rainfall in sight.
