All Bolt Food partner couriers have learned the necessary hygiene requirements

All active Bolt Food delivery partner couriers have received a certificate for completing the course “Minimum Hygiene Requirements in a Food Company”, and from now on this requirement will be a mandatory prerequisite for every new courier starting work on the platform.

This is the second significant step towards a higher industry standard, which followed the registration of all Bolt Food partner couriers with the Food and Veterinary Service (PVD) this spring.

“I would like to express my gratitude to more than 4,000 Bolt Food partner couriers for their responsiveness and time invested – in addition to their daily duties, they actively participated in improving their knowledge and ensuring even higher quality of service. At the same time, we are pleased to see that partners are also involved in other initiatives with the same responsiveness, such as safe driving training. Thank you to the PVD and other state institutions for constructive cooperation – together we have been able to introduce significant improvements in the industry without overloading the system with unnecessary bureaucracy,” says Jānis Rimicāns, Head of Bolt Food in Latvia.

In addition to administrative improvements, Bolt Food also continues to improve the technological solutions of the platform. Among other things, in order to ensure even faster and more accurate delivery, route planning is being improved, taking into account both the size and weight of the order and the courier’s mode of movement, as well as analyzing and forecasting demand in specific regions, the company informs.

“Bolt Food” also continues to cooperate with the PVD,

which, within its competence, carries out inspections in restaurants, including assessing the condition of delivery bags. In turn, Bolt Food monitors and conducts explanatory work on compliance with hygiene requirements among partner couriers.

Partner couriers on the Bolt Food platform are independent service providers, therefore there is no employment relationship between Bolt Food and partner couriers. The Bolt Food platform serves as a bridge, offering a flexible income opportunity.

Bolt Food has been available in Latvia since 2020 and provides catering and food delivery services in 12 Latvian cities – Riga, Rēzekne, Jelgava, Jūrmala, Liepāja, Daugavpils, Ventspils, Ogre, Valmiera, Sigulda, Ādaži and Salaspils.
