On Monday, Latvia’s weather will still be influenced by a cyclone, meaning that during the night, and only in the far eastern regions during the day, clouds will bring short periods of rain, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Winds will blow moderately to moderately strong from the west and northwest, with gusts reaching 15–18 m/s. Overnight temperatures will drop to +10…+15°C, while daytime highs will reach between +15…+19°C.
By Tuesday, under the influence of an anticyclone, skies in the west will be clear, while in the east, clouds will still appear at times, with some isolated showers expected overnight. The northwest to west wind will continue to gust up to 15–18 m/s.
On Wednesday,
skies will be less cloudy, though light rain may still occur in the east. The wind will ease to light breezes.
Nighttime temperatures will remain similar, while daytime temperatures will rise – on Tuesday across the country and on Wednesday along the coast – to +17…+22°C. Elsewhere in Latvia on Wednesday, temperatures will climb to +22…+27°C.
Thursday is expected to be the hottest day of the week, with air temperatures potentially reaching +30°C in some central regions. Toward the end of the week, the heat will subside, and maximum daytime temperatures will range between +16…+23°C. Sunny spells will be frequent during the day, with light rain expected mainly in the eastern parts of the country.
