The transition to winter time in Latvia will happen at 04:00 a.m. on the night to Sunday, 30 October. This is when clocks will need to be turned one hour back.
According to the Ministry of Economics, because there is no agreement among EU member states in regards to the time switch twice a year, the state of affairs remains the same – summer time in Latvia lasts from the last Sunday of March until the last Sunday of October.
The transition to summer time will take place on 26 March 2023, when clocks will have to be turned one hour forward. Summer time will remain in force until 29 October 2024.
The practice of switching between summer and winter time was first adopted in Latvia in 1997. Summer time is in force from the last Sunday of March until the last Sunday of October.
