Russia’s Dmitry Medvedev once again threatens the west with nuclear arms

Russia’s former president Dmitry Medvedev has once again issued a threat to use nuclear arms. This was his reaction to the proposal voiced in the west to compose a tribunal to investigate the crimes Russia is accused of having committed in Ukraine, as reported by Voice of America.
Medvedev said this week that efforts from the west to punish a nuclear super power like Russia creates threats for humanity.
Russia’s invasion and war in Ukraine has caused the biggest crisis of relations between Russia and the west since the Caribbean Crisis in 1962, when many feared the world was on the brink of nuclear war.

«The idea to punish a country that has the largest nuclear arsenal is absurd… And potentially creates a threat to the existence of mankind,» Medvedev wrote on Telegram.

According to Voice of America, what Medvedev is that attempts to use courts or a tribunal to evaluate crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine will be pointless and could cause a global catastrophe.
Russia and US control up to 90% of the world’s nuclear arms in the world. The two have about 4 000 nuclear warheads each.
