On 20 June American actor Ben Stiller visited Kyiv and met with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, affirming support for Ukraine.
As UNHCR reported on Twitter, the actor had previously met with war refugees on the Polish-Ukrainian border. He had also visited Lviv in Ukraine. Stiller visited the border as a UN ambassador or good will to meet with Ukrainian refugees, listen to their stories how war has affected people’s lives, as well as to promote solidarity.
«It’s a great honour. It’s really wonderful. You’re my hero!» the actor said when meeting Zelenskyy.
He said what Zelenskyy is doing for the good of his country is inspiring.
After visiting multiple refugee camps in Kyiv region, Stiller told Zelenskyy that seeing the destruction caused by Russia in person leaves a much larger impact than watching it on TV.

«You all that on television and social networks, but truly seeing it, being right there – it’s something else!»
Zelenskyy published the video of this meeting with Stiller, adding: «Ukrainians feel the support of the whole world, many famous people. And Ben Stiller’s visit once again confirms this.
