Among the political parties in Latvia the support from voters was the highest for New Unity and National Alliance in May, according to data of a survey performed by SKDS for LTV.
If Saeima elections were held in May, 9.4% of respondents would vote for New Unity and 8.5% – for the National Alliance.
Survey data indicates that support for New Unity has dropped by 0.4 percentage points when compared to April, whereas support for the National Alliance has increased by 0.7 percentage points.
Harmony is third with support from 7.6% of respondents, which is 0.8 percentage points less when compared to April. The Union of Greens and Farmers is fourth with 6% of support, which is a drop of 2 percentage points. A drop in support is also observed for Attīstībai/Par! political party – 5.6%, which is 0.8 percentage points less.
A drop in support was observed for Progressive party, which received 4% of support in May, which is 0.4 percentage points lower when compared to April.
Conservative party, according to the survey, enjoys 3.2% support from respondents, which is 0.7 percentage points lower than a month prior.
The newly-founded Latvian Green Party, Latvian Association of Regions and Liepaja Party Union enjoys 2.8% support from respondents. Latvian Russians Union enjoys 2.7% of support, which is 0.5 percentage points when compared to April.
The party For Stability received 2.3% of support from respondents, which is 0.7 percentage points more when compared to April. Latvia in First Place enjoys 2.1%, which is 0.9 percentage points less. Other parties received less than 1.5% of support from respondents.
30.1% of respondents could not pick a party they would vote for and 12% said they do not vote in Saeima elections. 1 814 Latvian citizens participated in this survey.
