Head of Riga Zoological Garden leaves his post, says return to politics is possible

After leaving his post as Riga Zoological Garden’s Education and Information Office specialist, Ingmārs Līdaka says the possibility of returning to politics is a possibility, as confirmed by the man himself.
Him leaving the zoo was a mutual agreement with the employer. Friday, 29 April, will be his last day of work at the zoo. «I bought a full year of subscription to the zoo, so I will be returning regularly to check up on the animals and the staff tending to them. I will also continue publishing videos on Facebook,» Līdaka promises.

As for plans for the future, he said he plans to spend the first two months with his wife Laura, who has also decided to leave the zoo after many years of working there. The two plan to rest and watch Latvian animals and birds.

«I’ll think about what to do next come autumn. There three options now – public relations, environmental education and politics. These are the three fields I feel the most confident working. Returning to politics is on the table, since I previously left with a sense of unfinished business,» admits Līdaka.
Although he said he is not said to leave, in the last sentence of his entry, Līdaka wrote: «And forgive me for my emotions!!!»
