Day 47 of war in Ukraine: New mass grave found, Russian provocations possible in Transnistria, hard week expected by Zelenskyy

In Ukraine on Monday, April 11, the Interior Ministry stated a new mass grave has been found in the Kyiv Region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces spoke of possible provocations in the Moldovan separatist Transnistria region to blame Ukraine on attacking its western neighbour. Russia continued to prepare for a renewed offensive in the east and the Ukrainian President spoke of a responsible week ahead, Ukrainian public broadcaster Ukrinform and British public broadcaster BBC report.
As Ukrainian investigators, continue to collect evidence of atrocities in the liberated towns and villages of the Kyiv Region, Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the Ukrainian interior minister, stated that a new mass grave has been found. According to Gerashchenko, a mass grave with civilian Ukrainians killed by Russian invaders was found in the village of Buzova.
«Eyewitnesses also say that there is a burnt-out car nearby, in which a 17-year-old teenager was burnt alive and a woman lost half of her head,» the official stated. Gerashchenko noted added that local authorities believe that at least 50 locals had been killed by the occupiers.
Earlier this month, the towns of Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel and the entire Kyiv region were liberated from Russian occupation forces. Mass killings of civilians were recorded in the liberated towns and villages.
Ukrainian Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova has stated that the bodies of 1,222 civilians have beenfound in the Kyiv Region.
Military situation in Ukraine
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine worte in its report on the develompents in the war, in the past 24 hours that the invaders are expected to resume their offensive in the coming days.
According to the report, the Russian military attempted to launch an offensive outside the settlements of Dovhenke and Dmytrivka; however, those attempts failed and the invaders retreated to previous positions.
In total, in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Ukrainian defenders repulsed four enemy attacks, destroying five tanks, eight armored vehicles, six vehicles and eight artillery systems, the statement said. At the same time, the enemy continuec to create an assault grouping of troops for operations in the north-eastern Slobozhanshchyna direction.
Russian aerial reconnaissance of the area was seen in the Izium direction in order to locate the positions of the Ukrainian troops by using the Orlan-10 drones.
In the Donetsk direction, Russia continued to focus on taking control of the settlements of Popasna, Rubizhne, Nyzhnie and Novobakhmutivka, as well as establishing full control over the city of Mariupol, where the occupiers continue to conduct assault operations near the Azovstal plant and the seaport.
