The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8 888 people.
6 966 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests is 25.7%. 759 818 people have recovered from Covid-19 infection. A total of 5 617 people in Latvia have died from Covid-19 so far.
SPKC reports that the 14-day cumulative infection index per 100 000 residents is 1 269.3.
The National Health Service reports there are currently 880 Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals. For 359 of those people Covid-19 is the main diagnosis, whereas for the rest it is a side-diagnosis.
