On Friday, 1 April, weather will be sunny with moment of clouds. No precipitation is expected. Air temperature at night will drop to -7° C… -12° C (-3° C… -6° C along the coast). Daytime air temperature will reach +2° C… +6° C.
Weather will remain calm on the weekend – some clouds, some sun, and no precipitation. On Saturday the wind will blow from the north and north-east, which will change direction to the south-west on Sunday. Air temperature at night will be -3° C… -8° C (0° C… -4° C along the coast), whereas daytime air temperature will reach +2° C… +6° C.
Meteorologists report next week’s weather will be dictated by multiple cyclones. According to current forecasts, these cyclones will pass through Latvia from the west. This means the week will start off with precipitation-rich weather. The sky will be cloudy. Multiple precipitation zones will pass through the country’s territory, bringing snow, wet snow and rain.
Intensive snowing is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. The layer of snow will form in many parts. In the second half of the week some regions in Latvia may see 10 cm to 15 cm of snow.
