Passenger plane crashes in China

In China, a passenger plane has crashed with 132 people on board, British public broadcaster BBC reports.
On Monday, March 21, the Civil Aviation Administration of China announced that a Boeing 737-800 of the China Eastern Airlines has fallen to the ground in mid-flight in southern China.
The flight No. MU5735 left the city of Kunming at 13:11 local time and was scheduled to arrive in Guangzhou at 15:05. Flight tracking site FlightRadar24 data showed that the plane was in the air for just over an hour, and was nearing its destination when it went down in the region of Wuzhou.

The count of possible casualties and reason for the crash are yet to be established. Chinese rescue crews have been deployed to the area of the crash and have stated that a fire in woods caused by the plane crash has been put out. Local authorities feared no one on the aircraft of the 132 people has survived, BBC reports.
