A total of 5 253 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours. 14 people have died, of which nine were unvaccinated or hadn’t completed their vaccination course and five were vaccinated.
1 752 new cases were found in Estonia the last 24 hours. 574 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
2 372 people have died from the virus in Estonia so far.
The latest data from Lithuania reports 6 104 new cases. 1 384 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8 692 people.
12 834 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests in 40.9%. 667 949 people have recovered from Covid-19 infection. A total of 5 469 people in Latvia have died from Covid-19 so far.
SPKC reports that the 14-day cumulative infection index per 100 000 residents is 4 170.5.
The National Health Service reports there are currently 1 013 Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals. For 444 of those people Covid-19 is the main diagnosis, whereas for the rest it is a side-diagnosis.
