A total of 6 250 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours. Six people have died, of which four were unvaccinated or hadn’t completed their vaccination course and two were vaccinated.

The latest data from Lithuania reports 5 317 new cases. 1 378 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8 659 people.
13 587 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests in 46%. 647 896 people have recovered from Covid-19 infection. A total of 5 435 people in Latvia have died from Covid-19 so far.
SPKC reports that the 14-day cumulative infection index per 100 000 residents is 4 650.2.
The National Health Service reports there are currently 1 094 Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals. For 483 of those people Covid-19 is the main diagnosis, whereas for the rest it is a side-diagnosis.
