In 24 hours to Tuesday, March 8, Latvia registered 8,137 new coronavirus infections, while Estonia confirmed 3,309 and Lithuania registered 5,070.
A total of 8,137 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours to Tuesday morning. Nine people have died in the Baltic country in the period, six of them were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination, while three were vaccinated.
In Estonia, the latest public data showed that 3,309 new cases were found over the last 24 hours. 620 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Estonian hospitals. 2,308 people have died from the disease in Estonia thus far.

The latest data from Lithuania added 5,070 new cases of coronavirus infection. 1,416 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Lithuanian hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the health complications of the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8,548 people.
Returning to Latvia, 17,003 Covid-19 tests were performed in the country in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Latvian Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests was 47.9%. A total of 5,354 Covid-19 patients have died in Latvia, while 584,650 people have recovered from the disease.
