Baltic Covid cases on Tuesday. Estonia registers no new lethal cases

In 24 hours to Tuesday, March 1, Latvia registered 9,524 new coronavirus infections, while Estonia registered 4,656 and Lithuania confirmed 5,140.
A total of 9,524 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours to Tuesday morning. 17 people have died in the Baltic country, seven of them were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination, while ten were vaccinated.
In Estonia, the latest public data showed that 4,656 new cases were found over the last 24 hours. 655 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Estonian hospitals. 2,236 people have died from the virus in Estonia thus far with no new deaths registered over the past 24 hours.

The latest data from Lithuania added 5,140 new cases of coronavirus infection. 1,697 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Lithuanian hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the health complications of the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8,434 people.
Returning to Latvia, 19,333 Covid-19 tests were performed in the country in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Latvian Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests was 49.3%. A total of 5,241 Covid-19 patients have died in Latvia, while 513,737 people have recovered from the disease.
