Ukrainian national borders have on Tuesday, February 24, been violated by both Russian armed forces and a column of troops and military vehicles from the side of Belarus, American broadcaster CNN reports.
A column of troops and military transport violating the border and entering Ukraine was seen in a livestream video from the Belarus border crossing, provided by Ukrainian Border Guard. The video was filmed at around 6:48 a.m. local time at the crossing between Senkivka in Ukraine and Veselovka in Belarus.
The Ukrainian Border Guard told CNN in a statement earlier that their borders were attacked by Russia, and Belarus, «with the use of artillery, heavy equipment and small arms.»

Later in the morning, Russian military vehicles entered Ukraine through Russian-annexed Crimea, CNN reports.
Alexander Lukashenko in Belarus announced in Minsk that Belarus has not been involved in the military attack on Ukraine, according to BelTA. Exiled Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya stated on Twitter, however: «We ask the international community to impose the strongest sanctions against Lukashenka & the Belarus regime as soon as possible. They are accomplices of Russia’s brutal assault on Ukraine. It’s evident that Lukashenka fully shares the responsibility for this unnecessary war.»
