The weekend weather in Latvia is forecast to be wet and windy due to the presence of cyclones, according to the Latvian Centre of Environment, Geology and Meteorology (LVĢMC).
On Saturday, February 19, new cyclones will reach the Baltic country from the west. The sky will be covered with clouds in the most part of the territory and a new zone of precipitation will cross it from west to east. Consequently, snow, wet snow and rain is expected affecting driving conditions on roads.

The air temperature on Saturday is forecast to be from 0 to +3 degrees Celsius both during the day and at night. The wind will reach speeds from 16 to 21 metres per second in the most part of the country, while at the seaside regions gusts of wind will reach the speed 25 to 28 metres per second.
On Sunday, February 20, the air temperature at night is expected to be from +2 to -3 degrees, rising to +1 to +4 degrees during the day. As to precipitation, wet snow is mostly forecast for Latvia on Sunday and the wind is expected to become slower, LVGMC wrote.
