New Covid-19 cases in Baltics

In 24 hours to Thursday, February 17, Latvia registered 11,595 new coronavirus infections, while Estonia registered 6,499 and Lithuania – 7,620.
A total of 11,595 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours to Thursday morning. 12 people have died in the Baltic country, of them seven were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and five were vaccinated.
In Estonia, the latest public data showed that 6,499 new cases were found in Estonia the last 24 hours. 531 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Estonian hospitals.

2,148 people have died from the virus in Estonia thus far.
The latest data from Lithuania added 7,620 new cases of coronavirus infections. 1,736 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Lithuanian hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8,210 people.
Returning to Latvia, 26943 Covid-19 tests were performed in the country in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Latvian Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests is 43%. A total of 5,073 Covid-19 patients have died in Latvia, while 407,491 have recovered from the disease.
