In the first week of February the average 95th brand petrol price reached a new record in Latvia – 1.544 EUR/l, according to data from the European Commission.
Every week the European Commission compiles data received from member states on average fuel prices. Data from the EC indicates the previous record was reached at the end of January – 1.526 EUR/l. The last highest average 96th brand petrol price in Latvia was reached in November 2021 – 1.508 EUR/l.
This weeks information from EC published for last week indicates a litre of 95th brand petrol cost an average of EUR 1.544 in Latvia between 31 January and 6 February.
So far the price of diesel fuel was the highest in the middle of March 2012, when one litre cost an average of EUR 1.416 (according to the exchange rate at the time). The latest data from EC indicates the average diesel fuel price was 1.408 EUR/l at the start of February.
