The weather to stay pleasantly warm, with the temperatures rising to +20 degrees

On Thursday, the 8th of October, sunshine will alternate with clouds, and the weather will remain dry. With light winds overnight, fog will form in some areas. During the day, a light to moderate east-southeasterly wind will set in, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.

Overnight, minimum temperatures will range from +3°C to +8°C—though reaching around +10°C in some coastal areas of the Gulf—while the day will turn pleasantly warm, with temperatures climbing to +15°C–+20°C.

Towards the end of the week, a new cyclone will approach Latvia from the west, resulting in predominantly cloudy skies with only occasional sunshine. Rain is expected in many areas; on Friday, heavy rain is likely in parts of Kurzeme and Vidzeme. A moderate to moderately strong south-southeasterly to southerly wind will blow, gradually shifting to the southwest and west overnight into Friday, with coastal gusts reaching 15–19 m/s.

From the morning onwards, winds will strengthen across the country, with gusts reaching 16–21 m/s, and even 25–27 m/s along the coast in the afternoon.

Gusty winds will persist into the early part of Saturday night; from the second half of the night, the wind will shift to the southwest or south and gradually subside, reaching gusts of up to 15 m/s only along the coast during the day.

On Friday, air temperatures will remain between +9°C and +14°C throughout both the day and night. Nights over the weekend will turn slightly cooler, while daytime temperatures will rise to the +10°C to +14°C range.

At the start of the new work week, sunny spells will alternate with cloudy periods, with rain expected in almost all regions at some point. Air temperatures will not change significantly during the day or night, remaining within the same range as at the end of the week.
