On Wednesday, skies will be cloudy with occasional clear spells. Light rain is expected in some areas overnight, while on Wednesday evening a precipitation zone will begin crossing Latvia from the west, bringing rain to western and central regions, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Fog will form in some areas overnight and may persist into the morning in places. Light to moderate southerly and south-westerly winds will prevail, with gusts reaching 15 m/s along the coast during the day. Minimum temperatures will range from +10°C to +14°C overnight, while daytime temperatures will rise to +17°C to +20°C.
On Thursday and Friday, skies will remain cloudy with occasional clear spells. The precipitation zone will continue crossing the country on Thursday, bringing rain to many areas overnight and to some parts of Latvia during the day. Local thunderstorms are possible in eastern regions.
On Friday, light rain is expected only in some western and central areas.
Light to moderate south-westerly and southerly winds will prevail on Thursday night,
shifting to the south-west and west during the day and continuing into Friday night. During Friday, winds will turn southerly and south-westerly again. Gusty winds are expected along the coast on both days.
Temperatures will fall to +12°C to +15°C overnight. On Friday night, however, temperatures in this range will be limited to coastal areas, while elsewhere they will drop to +8°C to +11°C. Daytime highs will range from +15°C to +19°C.
The weekend will remain moderately warm, with daytime temperatures reaching +16°C to +19°C. Rain is expected across most of the country, while winds will strengthen and become gusty in some areas, particularly along the coast.
