The prediction that the war will drag on for another two months means that Republican candidates will have to continue to deal with the political turmoil caused by the conflict and its impact on the cost of living.
Republicans have long worried that the economic impact of the Iran war could cost the party its majority
in the House of Representatives and possibly the Senate.
