On Friday, skies will be cloudy, with periods of rain expected in many parts of Latvia. Thunderstorms with heavy and possibly even very heavy rainfall are also forecast in some areas, mainly in the north of the country, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
A light to moderate southerly to southwesterly wind will blow, with gusts reaching 15–17 m/s along the coast at night and also in central and eastern parts of the country during the day. Overnight temperatures will fall to between +12°C and +17°C, while daytime temperatures will reach +15°C to +18°C.
On Saturday, skies will remain mostly cloudy, although some areas may see occasional clear spells. Rain is expected at times across most of the country, with thunderstorms and heavy downpours possible locally.
A light to moderate westerly to southwesterly wind will blow, becoming gusty along the coast. Overnight temperatures will fall to between +10°C and +15°C, while daytime highs will range from +14°C to +17°C.
On Sunday night, skies will be cloudy, while cloud cover will decrease during the day.
Rain is expected in many areas, with thunderstorms also possible locally. At night, thunderstorms may bring heavy rainfall.
A light to moderate westerly to southwesterly wind will blow overnight, turning westerly to northwesterly during the day. From midday, wind gusts along the Gulf of Riga coast will reach 15–16 m/s. Fog may develop in some areas overnight.
Temperatures will fall to between +8°C and +11°C overnight, while coastal areas will remain a few degrees warmer at +11°C to +15°C. During the day, temperatures will rise to between +15°C and +18°C.
Monday is expected to be mostly dry, but from Tuesday a new cyclone will bring increasing cloud cover and more precipitation. Daytime temperatures will remain relatively mild, reaching up to +20°C in some areas. Winds will generally be light to moderate but may become gusty in coastal regions.
