On Tuesday, skies will be partly cloudy, with brief rain expected in many areas overnight and a chance of thunderstorms in some places early in the night, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the day, brief rain is expected only in some central and eastern areas. Light to moderate northerly and northwesterly winds will blow, while fog will form in some eastern areas in the morning. Overnight temperatures will fall to nine to thirteen degrees Celsius, while much of the coast will remain warmer at fourteen to sixteen degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures will rise to fifteen to twenty degrees Celsius.
In the middle of the week, skies will remain partly cloudy, with no significant precipitation expected. Light winds will begin to dominate, contributing to the formation of fog in some areas during the night and morning hours, mostly in western regions on Wednesday. Overnight temperatures will fall to eight to fourteen degrees Celsius in many areas.
During the day, sunshine will warm the air to seventeen to twenty-two degrees Celsius.
On Friday night into Saturday, a new cyclone will approach Latvia, and the weekend is forecast to be rainy and cloudy. However, no strong or gusty winds are expected, while daytime temperatures will remain around twenty degrees Celsius.
