On Thursday and Friday, rain is expected across most of the country. A light to moderate wind will blow, mainly from the north, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Fog will form in some areas at night, reducing visibility. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between +2°C and +7°C, while during the day the air will warm up to +10°C to +15°C. Along the coast, temperatures will be a few degrees lower.
Over the weekend and at the beginning of next week, precipitation will ease and sunshine will appear more frequently. At night, temperatures in some areas, especially where skies clear, will hover around 0°C, while during the day temperatures will exceed +10°C in many parts of the country.
