On Tuesday, the sky will be partly cloudy. At night, short-term rain is expected in some areas, and fog will thicken in parts of Vidzeme and Latgale, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
A light to moderate easterly wind will blow. At night, temperatures will drop to -1…-4°C, while during the day the air will warm up to +12…+16°C. In Kurzeme, along the Gulf coast, it will be slightly cooler, around +10°C.
Wednesday will bring sunny and dry weather, with increased cloud cover only in western regions in the morning. On Thursday, clouds will cover the entire country, and from the second half of the night, rain will occur at times across most of the territory. Light winds will prevail.
At night, temperatures will still drop below 0°C in some places, while daytime highs will be around +10…+15°C.
In the second half of the week, precipitation-rich weather will continue — rain clouds will pass across Latvia, mostly affecting the eastern part of the country. Nighttime temperatures will no longer fall below 0°C, while daytime temperatures will remain in a similar range as at the beginning of the week.
