Rain is still expected in many parts of Latvia on Friday night, with wet snow possible in some areas. However, precipitation will ease during the second half of the night, and skies will gradually begin to clear from the northwest, allowing sunshine during the day, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
With light winds, fog will form in many areas overnight and may persist into the morning in some places. Night-time temperatures will drop to between -1°C and +2°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +7°C to +12°C. It will be cooler along the coast, with temperatures ranging from +3°C to +7°C.
Over the weekend, skies will be partly cloudy, and no significant precipitation is expected. With light winds continuing,
fog may form in some areas during the night, reducing visibility.
In many places, light frost is still expected at night, with temperatures falling to between +2°C and -3°C, while sunny daytime conditions will bring temperatures up to +8°C to +13°C.
At the beginning of the new working week, weather conditions will remain largely unchanged, with frequent sunshine and temperatures staying within similar ranges. However, wind speeds are expected to increase slightly, becoming gusty in some areas early in the week.
