Weather conditions in Latvia will remain relatively mild in the coming days, although more unsettled weather is expected toward the end of the week, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the night leading into Wednesday, skies will be mostly clear, but cloud cover will gradually increase from the west during the day. Light rain is expected only in some coastal areas. Night-time temperatures will fall close to 0°C, while during the day the air will warm to +7°C to +12°C, with slightly cooler conditions in parts of the coast. Fog may also form in some locations.
On Thursday, rain is expected intermittently throughout the day. A light to moderate southerly wind will continue to blow, while fog may thicken in certain regions during the night and early morning hours, reducing visibility. Overnight temperatures will drop to 0°C to +5°C,
while daytime temperatures will remain above +5°C across most of the country.
Toward the end of the week and at the beginning of next week, the daily temperature range across Latvia will remain similar. Saturday is expected to be dry, but as the influence of a cyclone strengthens afterward, rainy weather is likely to return for several days.
