On Friday, the sky will be mostly cloudy, though the sun will occasionally peek through, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
At night, light rain is expected intermittently across most of the country, but by morning, only in some areas. Fog will form in certain regions during the night, which may reduce visibility. A light to moderate southwesterly and southerly wind will blow. During the night, air temperatures will drop to between +5°C and +10°C, while during the day they will rise to between +9°C and +12°C.
Over the weekend, skies will remain mostly cloudy—on Saturday only in places, while on Sunday clearing will occur mainly in the southern part of the country.
Saturday will remain dry with no precipitation expected, while on Sunday, light rain is possible in northern Latvia. During the night and early morning hours, fog may form in some areas, reducing visibility. On Saturday, a light to moderate southerly and southwesterly wind will blow, becoming lighter overnight into Sunday. On Saturday night, temperatures will fall to between +4°C and +8°C, but on Sunday night, in some places, the mercury may drop as low as +1°C. During the day, air temperatures will reach between +6°C and +10°C.
At the beginning of next week, as the influence of the anticyclone strengthens, the sun will shine more frequently between the clouds, although light precipitation is still expected in many places. As cooler air flows into the country, both day and night temperatures will not exceed +10°C, and in some places at night, the thermometer will drop below 0°C.
