Autumn weather continues: rain, fog, and chilly nights ahead

On Tuesday, the sky will feature variable cloud cover, with occasional light, brief rain showers expected in some areas. With light winds, fog will form overnight and in the early morning in certain regions, reducing visibility.

Nighttime temperatures will drop to +4…+9°C, while daytime highs will reach +13…+16°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.

On Wednesday, the weather will remain mostly cloudy, though there will be occasional clear spells. Some areas may still experience brief rain overnight, but by midday, a large rain front will move in from the west, bringing rain to western and central regions.

Fog will again form in some places during the night, making visibility poor. Winds will be light, but along the coast will become light to moderate from the south and southwest, with gusts up to 14 m/s in parts of Kurzeme.

Nighttime temperatures will range from +3…+7°C,

rising to +7…+10°C along the coast, while daytime highs will reach +12…+15°C.

On Thursday, rain will continue in western and central regions. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with occasional clear intervals.

Across most of the country, winds will be light to moderate from the south, shifting to southwesterly or westerly along the coast.

Overnight temperatures will fall to +4…+9°C, remaining slightly milder along the coast and in parts of Kurzeme, while daytime highs will be between +11…+15°C.

On Friday, a new rain front will once again move in from the west, bringing rain across the entire country and strengthening winds. Overnight temperatures under cloud cover will stay between +7…+12°C, while daytime temperatures will reach +10…+13°C.

During the weekend, rain clouds will frequently appear, bringing heavier showers and gusty winds along the coast. The air will become cooler, with nighttime lows of +4…+9°C, and daytime temperatures barely exceeding +10°C in most places.

At the start of next week, similar weather conditions are expected to continue, with a gradual cooling trend across the country.
