On Friday, the sky will be mostly cloudy with occasional clear spells. Rain is expected at times, with heavy downpours possible overnight in northern Vidzeme. A moderate southwesterly to westerly wind will blow, reaching gusts of 15–19 m/s along the eastern shores of the sea and the Gulf of Riga. Nighttime temperatures will range from +11 °C to +16 °C, while daytime highs will be between +15 °C and +20 °C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with only occasional sunny spells. Light rain or drizzle is expected in some areas. A moderate southwesterly to westerly wind will persist, remaining gusty along the eastern coast. Fog will form in some places overnight and in the morning, reducing visibility. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +10 °C…+14 °C (a bit milder along the coast), and daytime highs will reach +18 °C…+22 °C.
On Sunday, sun and clouds will alternate, with no significant precipitation expected. A light to moderate southwesterly to southerly wind will blow. Nighttime temperatures will fall to +12 °C…+17 °C, while daytime highs will rise to +19 °C…+23 °C, and in some central and eastern parts of Latvia even up to +24 °C.
At the start of next week, rain is expected across most of the country,
accompanied by gusty winds. On Monday, maximum temperatures in the southeast may still exceed +20 °C.
From midweek, however, high pressure will strengthen, bringing drier weather. As colder air masses move in, temperatures will gradually drop, with cooler nights and the first frosts possible in some areas. By Thursday night, temperatures could fall to around 0…+5 °C, with the highest frost risk in eastern Latvia. Nighttime temperatures will remain low throughout the following nights as well.
