On Monday, 15th of Septmeber, rain is expected in almost all of Latvia, though it will no longer be heavy. The wind will blow from the south at a light to moderate speed. Night-time temperatures will drop to +11…+16 °C, while daytime temperatures will not exceed +14…+20 °C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be fewer clouds, yet most of the country will still see rain, with some places experiencing heavy showers and thunderstorms. The south-westerly wind will strengthen — on Tuesday it will reach 15–19 m/s gusts along the coast, and on Wednesday also more widely in Kurzeme and Vidzeme. Night-time temperatures will be +11…+16 °C, while during the day they will rise to +16…+20 °C.
In the second half of the week, the cyclone will lose its strength — winds will ease and rainfall will decrease. In some places, night-time temperatures will drop below +10 °C, while daytime temperatures will remain similar to those in the first half of the week.
