Trump accuses Xi of conspiring

US President Donald Trump has accused Chinese President Xi Jinping of plotting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, the BBC reports.
China hosted its largest-ever Victory Day parade in Beijing on the 3rd of September. Trump wrote on his Truth Social account that Xi should send his warmest regards to Putin and Jong-un as they jointly plot against the US. He has previously denied that the increasingly close relations between Russia, China and other countries threaten the US’s position on the international stage.
The US president has also mentioned in his social media posts the significant amount of support the US provided to China during World War II. The parade in Beijing was held to mark the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender and China’s victory over the invaders. Trump said that many Americans died on China’s path to victory and glory, and he hoped that the fallen would be justly remembered for their courage and sacrifice.
Xi attended the parade with 26 other world leaders, including Putin and Chen. It could also be seen as a message to Western countries that have shamed these politicians. China is trying to position itself as a potential counterweight to the United States after Trump’s import tariffs rocked the global economy. Trump has described the new tariffs as essential to protecting US interests, and it seems he is willing to pay any diplomatic price.
The BBC asked Trump if he believed Beijing and its allies were trying to form a coalition against the United States. The US president replied that he did not think so at all, and that China needed the US.

He added that he has a good relationship with Xi.

In a radio interview on the 2nd of September, Trump said that he was not worried about a possible Sino-Russian alliance. He noted that the US has the most powerful army in the world, and China would never use military force against Americans. “Believe me, that would be the worst thing they could do,” Trump said.
During the interview, Trump also said that he was very disappointed in Putin, and indicated that he would do something to help the people of Ukraine live. He did not specify what that would be.
China has not condemned Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, and Western countries have accused the communist country of helping Russia on the battlefield. Beijing denies this.
