The air will become slightly cooler, with the thermometer bar fluctuating around +20…+24 degrees throughout the country, reports the Latvian Centre for Environment, Geology and Meteorology.
On Wednesday, the 6th of August, the sky will be cloudy, but at times rays of sunshine will break through the clouds. At night, it will rain in the central and eastern regions of the country under the influence of the departing precipitation zone, but during the day, cumulus-rain clouds will form in many places, which will bring short-term rain, which in some places could also be accompanied by thunderstorms. A slow to moderate southwest, westerly wind will blow, which will become gusty also deeper inland, reaching 15-17 m/s. At night on Wednesday, the air will cool down to +12…+17 degrees, but during the day the thermometer will not rise above +21 degrees.
Thursday and Friday will not stand out with different weather conditions, as
clouds will also bring rain in certain areas both at night and during the day.
It will rain in many places at night on Thursday, but during the day, mainly in the eastern part, short-term rain is expected. Rain clouds will also be observed in many places on Friday. The air temperature will be a couple of degrees lower during the dark hours of the day, but during the days it will remain similar to before. It should be noted, however, that on Friday the wind will subside and turn from the south.
A lower intensity of rain is expected both on Saturday and at the beginning of next week. For some time, new precipitation zones will continue to cross the territory of the country, and a slow to moderate southerly wind will prevail. During the days, the maximum air temperature will not be higher than +24 degrees.
