Weather to stay mostly the same – warm, but rainy

The weather conditions will remain similar to those of previous week – the sky will be mostly covered by clouds, which will bring precipitation, sometimes even intense, and thunderstorms are also expected in some places, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.

On Monday, the 28th of July, the sky will be cloudy, only in places it will clear up and the sun will shine. There will be short-term rain in some places at night, and it will also rain occasionally during the day, but thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected in the west of the country, locally they will even be very heavy, and hail is also possible. The wind will blow slowly. At night, the air temperature will drop to +16…+21 degrees, but during the day the air will warm up to +21…+26 degrees.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, cloudy weather will remain, the sky will clear up only at times. On Tuesday,

rain is expected in many parts of the country at times, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible.

On Wednesday, precipitation is expected mainly in the eastern and central regions, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms. On Tuesday, the wind will blow slowly to moderately from the east, in the afternoon it will turn from the south, but on Wednesday it will gradually subside and will already blow slowly. At night, the air will cool down to +18…+20 degrees, on Wednesday it will be slightly cooler – the thermometer will not rise above the +18 degree mark. During the day, the air temperature will rise to +19…+26 degrees, but on Wednesday in some places in the eastern regions even to +26…+29 degrees.

The weather conditions will not change significantly in the second half of the week either – it will rain occasionally in most of the country, thunderstorms are also possible in some places, but the air temperature will remain within similar limits as before.
