At the beginning of the week, the sun will shine, but clouds will occasionally bring short-term rain, mainly in the eastern regions, where cumulonimbus clouds will also form. Localized heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
A light wind will mainly come from the north. During the night into Tuesday, fog will form in some areas and may persist into the morning hours. Nighttime air temperatures will drop only to +15…+20°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +21…+26°C, and in some places in the west on Tuesday, up to +28°C.
On Wednesday, rain is expected in most parts of the country,
and once again lightning and heavy rainfall will be observed in some areas. Nighttime temperatures will remain similar, while during the day, temperatures will reach +20…+24°C.
In the second half of the week, weather conditions will continue to be influenced by cyclonic activity, meaning the weather will remain similar – each day, rain will fall in some part of Latvia, accompanied by the sound of thunder. At night, temperatures will not fall below +15°C, and during the day, the maximum air temperature will range between +20…+25°C.
