Trump: Israel has agreed to Gaza ceasefire terms

US President Donald Trump has announced that Israel has agreed to the terms of a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, writes “Politico”.
Trump wrote on his social network “Truth Social” on the 1st of July that the ceasefire offer prepared by the US and Israel will be delivered to the Hamas group by representatives of Qatar and Egypt, who, according to the US president, have worked hard to help bring peace. The ceasefire will help open the door to an end to the war.

“I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE,”

Trump said.
Neither Israeli nor Hamas officials have commented on Trump’s statements, and it is not known what the exact terms of the ceasefire are, but international pressure is growing to reach a solution and end the war.
The latest report by the European Union’s diplomatic corps concluded that Israel’s actions in Gaza, including restrictions on humanitarian aid, may be in violation of the terms of a cooperation agreement with the bloc. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, more than 56,000 Palestinians have been killed since the war began. The fighting began after Hamas militants invaded Israel on the 7th of September, 2023, killing about 1,200 people and capturing 250. There are still 50 Israelis in Gaza, 20 of whom are believed to be alive.
Previous ceasefires between Israel and Hamas have failed, including the Trump-brokered ceasefire in January 2025. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to visit the United States next week.
