Thursday will be sunny, with only occasional cloud cover in some areas. There is a slight chance that a passing cloud could bring a brief shower, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
A light to moderate westerly and northwesterly wind will blow, and in the eastern part of the country, gusts may reach up to 14 m/s. Air temperatures will rise to +17…+22°C, and in some western and central regions, the thermometer may reach up to +23°C. Around midday and in the afternoon, with the sun shining, UV radiation intensity will be moderately high—meteorologists advise avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
On Friday morning, a new precipitation zone will begin moving across Latvia from the southwest,
bringing rain across the entire country, with some areas experiencing prolonged rainfall.
With light winds, fog may form in some regions during the night and early morning, reducing visibility. On Saturday, clouds will dominate the skies, bringing occasional showers to much of the country. On Sunday, rain is expected mainly in the eastern regions of Latvia. Over the weekend, winds from the west will strengthen and become gusty in many places. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +8…+14°C, while daytime highs will reach +15…+21°C.
The beginning of July could bring slightly warmer weather, with daytime temperatures rising to +20…+25°C.
