Clouds and rain mainly on thursday, but sunshine and warmer weather over the weekend

On Thursday, the skies over Latvia will remain mostly cloudy. A precipitation zone will continue moving across the country – during the night, intermittent rain is expected in most parts, while in the far east, rainfall will be prolonged, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.

Rain is also expected in many areas during the day. A light to moderate west to northwest wind will blow, strengthening in the second half of the night, with gusts reaching 15–19 m/s. Both during the night and day, air temperatures will range between +10°C and +14°C.

At the end of the week, the cloud cover will vary. On Friday, occasional showers are possible in some areas, and fog may form in certain regions during the early morning hours. During the night leading into Friday, a moderate to moderately strong northwesterly to northerly wind will persist, with gusts reaching 15–18 m/s along the coast. However, it will ease during the day and remain similar throughout the weekend. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +9°C to +14°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +16°C to +22°C.

At the start of the new workweek, the weather will remain similar to the weekend – mostly clear skies, no significant precipitation expected, and warm daytime temperatures.
