Estonian Reform Party Prime Minister Kristen Michal announced on Monday, the 10th of March, that he will expel the Social Democratic Party from the government because of disagreements over taxes, leaving him with only a narrow majority in parliament, reports Reuters.
“At a time when urgent decisions have to be taken, one cannot go back to the roots of these decisions endlessly to review them. Certain decisions have to be taken so that Estonia can move forward,” Michal said at a press conference.
The Reform Party and Estonia 200, which together have 52 seats in the 101-seat parliament, will remain in government, he said.
