The Council of Latvian Post (LP) has approved Ģirts Rudzītis as the new Chairman of the Board. Dita Mirbaha has been approved as the company’s board member, as confirmed by LP.
Rudzītis will be responsible for the company’s strategic and operational management. Mirbaha, on the other hand, will be responsible for the business development side of the company, implementation of innovations and sales figures.
According to the company, Rudzītis has international business and change management skills, as well as experience in development and implementation of strategies from his time working at JSC “Grenardi Group” and LLC “Schneider Electric Baltic Distribution Centre”. He was also previously in charge of LLC “Schneider Electric Latvija” business development in Baltic States.
Mirbaha has experience in marketing and sales, which she acquired during her time working for LLC “DPD Latvja” and LLC “Newcon Hospitality Group”.
The new Chairman of the Board and member of the Board were selected by an open competition on the basis of the Law on Management of Capital Shares and Capital Companies of a Public Person. The selection procedure was provided by a nomination committee established by the Council of “Latvian Post”.
Andris Puriņš will remain on the company’s board. He will be in charge of financial management.
It has already been reported that the turnover of “Latvian Post” in 2023 was EUR 108.269 million, which is 8.3% more than in 2022, while the company’s profit decreased 4.1 times – to EUR 538 646.
“Latvian Post” ensures the availability of postal services throughout the territory of Latvia. The company provides domestic and international deliveries, from e-commerce and parcel shipments to press, letter correspondence and personalized logistics solutions. “Latvian Post” is a state-owned company with about 1 900 employees.
