What does Akropole Riga intend to do after “Pringles Christmas Tree” incident?

The administration of Akropole Riga shopping mall have decided to not turn to the police after the Pringles Christmas Tree incident, as confirmed by representatives of the shopping mall.

Akropole Riga representatives say this decision was made after evaluating what happened, including the involvement of minors in this incident and after consulting with other institutions.

As previously, on Sunday, the 15th of December, several dozen shoppers stole the Pringles chips packages that were set on display at Akropole Riga shopping mall in the shape of a Christmas Tree.

Representatives of “Akropole Riga” administration previously indicated that in connection with the “Coca-Cola” Christmas event, the shopping centre had an unusually large number of visitors and, despite the additional security and order measures taken, visitors began to climb over the fence set up around the installation and took the goods placed on the installation.

The actions of those shoppers caused damage to the advertisement stand nearby.

Akropolle Riga is owned by “M257” LLC, which is owned by Netherlands-based “Akropolis Real Estate B.V.”, according to information from Firmas.lv.

In 2023, “M257” operated with turnover of EUR 22.973 million and profits of EUR 17.38 million. The company was registered in 2004 with base capital of EUR 66 359 674.
